ExxonMobil has a long-standing tradition of investing in the community. In 2010, Exxon Mobil Corporation, its divisions and affiliates, including XTO Energy Inc., and the ExxonMobil Foundation provided a combined $199 million in cash, goods, and services worldwide. Wherever we do business, we put our energies into improving the quality of life of our neighbours and their communities.  We have always considered this an important part of our responsibility as a good corporate citizen.

Being a good citizen is about being a "good neighbour" and Esso values the relationship between the company and the local communities in which we operate. We enjoy our corporate citizen role and take our commitments seriously.

In Ireland we focus on supporting the neighbourhoods around our key business locations by investing in community projects and initiatives. We also recognise the voluntary efforts of our employees by granting awards to the organisations they support.
